It helped, I think, to go back and watch Part One again, and see him singing about "It's not a death ray, or an ice ray..." and him picturing himself dancing with her in a world that was just the two of them...all the things he was doing, he was doing them for her, and he got them all but they didn't mean anything anymore. It's a tragedy, really. With funny songs. Once you wrap your head around that, it makes more sense. :)

And Rose was 'Bad Wolf' because those were the words she'd seen. It's a closed loop--she left the message "Bad Wolf" for herself, back in time, to tell herself they were still connected...and she knew to do it because she knew she'd done it. Any words would have worked, really. But not, y'know, dramatically. "I am the Crunchy Frog. I create myself." See? Doesn't work. :)John Seaveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07221569513392130884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15742539.post-39002482599191154762008-07-19T13:37:00.000-07:002008-07-19T13:37:00.000-07:00I think it doesn't seem to be setting up a sequel ...I think it doesn't seem to be setting up a sequel so much as showing him get everything he thought he wanted. As such, it's supposed to be a let-down. Which doesn't, of course, make it any less of a let-down. :(

Lovely little musical, though.Moryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00811255096467614445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15742539.post-78535792386235437222008-07-19T12:50:00.000-07:002008-07-19T12:50:00.000-07:00Well, it's really setting up a sequel, isn't it?
